You are sure to receive a warm welcome at Unity in Alexandria! And you are invited to stay afterward and enjoy a time of fellowship with refreshments. We count it a great privilege to welcome you to our services and classes.

In 2008 our ministry team is planning a variety of services, classes, workshops, and other events that will offer practical, workable tools to help us not only cope with the changes in our lives and world, but meet them courageously, joyously, and successfully.

We will focus on current and perennial themes that will support our Spiritual journey, including prayer, healing, prosperity, relationships, conflict transformation, the power of service, and peace in our world.

The Unity ideas and concepts encourage us in our individual desires for spiritual awareness and wholeness, and offer opportunities to join with others to pray, sing, worship, celebrate, enjoy fellowship, serve our communities, and make new friends. At the conclusion of every service, we do our part to help create peace in the world as we make "A Circle for Peace" and sing together, "Let There Be Peace on Earth".

SUNDAY, MAY 11 & 18 - Reflection on Spiritual ideas from "A NEW EARTH" , the book by Eckhart Tolle.

SUNDAY, MAY 25 - Beverly Weise, Licensed Unity Teacher, Speaker: Title: "Way of the Peaceful Warrior".

CAREY CREED, talented local musician. Award winning singer/songwriter whose music can bring your mind and heart to a better place through poetry, pathos and humor . . . with a little back beat. Her CD's include "Peace of Wild Things", "I'll Know You, and "Plum Branch". 'Held at the Mark Center Club, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Posi-Lounge is an opportunity to hear positive inspiring music in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Everyone is welcome - come and bring friends! Presented on a love-offering contribution basis.

SUNDAY, JULY 27 - Mary Hanson, Guest Speaker. Title: Can Security and Peace Co-Exist? How one seeker combines Unity spiritual principles with a Military/Security Profession." Licensed Unity Teacher Candidate and Captain, U.S. Navy.
